Premiers Sporting Challenge

During Terms 2 and 3 the Premiers Sporting Challenge allows all students to track their level of physical activity both within and outside school. Students are then awarded with certificates of participation. The school receives a small grant for participating in this program.

Physical activity - How often? How hard?

Any daily physical activity of moderate to vigorous intensity can be used. Moderate activities could be as simple as brisk walking, bike riding with friends, skateboarding, playground games and dancing.  Vigorous activities could be activities such as football, netball, aerobics, running, fitness circuits, dance, swimming laps, dance and organised school sport.

Recommended National Daily Activity

Students are encouraged to work towards the recommended national daily activity standard of 60 minutes per day.

NOTE:  Students in K-2 are automatically awarded Gold Awards.

Students in classes that have reached the Premier's Primary School Sport Challenge Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond Award receive a certificate at the conclusion of the Challenge.
