Wahroonga Public School is fortunate to have a large, bright, purpose-built library for our staff and students to enjoy. The broad range of fiction and non fiction books in the library has been carefully selected to engage students and help them learn.
Opening times
The library is open every morning before school and during lunchtimes, 1.30 - 1.55 pm, for students to borrow and return books, read, draw, play games and relax.
The school library is open to all students. All students in K-2 must have a library bag when borrowing. Class lessons are scheduled each week. The library has thousands of books and resource items that are constantly updated. Students can visit the library before school and at lunchtime for extra research and borrowing. A parent library also exists. Parents/carers can borrow books under their child’s name.
NSW Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC)
All students K-6 are encouraged to participate in this year's PRC. The booklists are extensive and provide a wealth of quality reading. Titles read can be added to student's reading records on the PRC website. K-2 students complete the Challenge at school as their requirements are to listen and appreciate the books that are shared in class and in the library.
