STAGE BAND:

Well done to the Stage Band students for their hard work in this week’s rehearsal when all students played an improvised solo based on the blues scale, over the rest of the band. Learning to improvise is a great skill and every student should be very proud of how much they have grown in their understanding of this genre of music. Stage Band like the other bands, look forward to being able to perform in concert once guidelines permit.

RECORDER TUTORIALS:

Recorder tutorials continued this week and the Year 1 and 2 students are working hard learning more new notes and pieces. A reminder that the combined lessons from 8:15 – 8:50am will continue for the rest of the term in line with the staggered school start times.

Please contact us if your child would like to join the Band Program or learn recorder – it is never too late to join! Please do not hesitate to contact Kate Spencer or Kylie Lee in the Burns Road Band Room on the below details should you have any queries.
